Comments & Observations:

Despite some rain and warmer weather earlier in the month, ice thickness tested at an impressive 25 inches! It will be interesting to see how this effects the ice out date this year. The dissolved oxygen profile has been similar throughout the winter season and although the oxygen drops as the depth increases, it has not reached the same anoxic levels seen during the summer stratification. Since this is the second season of performing winter monitoring, we will need to see if this changes long term.
