Look Out for Loons Program 2024
The Maine Audubon and Maine Lakes continue the project for the second season to increase awareness of actions we can all take to minimize disturbance and impacts to nesting loons and loon families. Look Out for Loons volunteers receive training on a variety of outreach tools and efforts they can undertake in their communities to help loons thrive by increasing awareness about nesting loons, and decreasing behaviors that lead to loon injuries and nest failure.
