Lake Anasagunticook
In the Heart of the Hills
Get Involved!
The Lake Anasagunticook Association (LAA) will hold its annual “Lake Days” celebration at the Canton Boat Launch in Canton, Maine, on Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 11 AM to 2 PM. Additionally, kayak races and “blindfold” canoe races will be held on the Canton Beach beginning at 10 AM. The events are in celebration of summer on the lake. The general public is invited to attend. Admission is free, and the celebration will be held rain or shine.

Lake Days will be held at the Canton Boat Launch (7 Staples Hill Road, Canton, Maine). Entertainment will be provided. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch or purchase one on site. Enjoy free ice cream, watermelon, and water bottles. There will be a slip-n-slide for kids, and LAA gear will be available for purchase. Raffle tickets will be for sale for an opportunity to win prizes!

If you would like to participate in the kayak races and/or the “blindfold” canoe races, they will be held on Canton Beach at 10 AM. Kayakers, please bring your kayak. Canoes and blindfolds will be provided for the blindfold canoe races (a hilarious race where the paddlers are blindfolded and the passengers shout directions!). Everyone must wear a life vest to participate in either event.

The Lake Anasagunticook Association is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization concerned with the preservation and protection of the lake as a natural resource.
