Comments & Observations:

The fall turnover of the lake continues as the thermocline (the transition from the warmer surface water to the cooler deeper water) continues to break up and more oxygen can get to lower depths. This process will continue over the coming weeks until the lake is fully “mixed” in a process called turnover.
