Comments & Observations:

The fall turnover of the lake has started. The thermocline (the transition from the warmer surface water to the cooler deeper water) has migrated lower in the lake and more oxygen can get to lower depths. This process will continue over the coming weeks until the lake is fully “mixed” in a process called turnover.
